Facebook Boost Your Business 2015 Tips from Keynote Speaker that every Small Business Owner that uses Facebook should know
I recently attended Facebook’s Boost Your Business 2015 Event in Nashville, as part one of four held nationally. This blog entry is part 1 of 3. The Welcome and Keynote was held by Jonathan Czaja, Director of Small Business for Facebook. Read below from tips and case studies from his presentation!
Disclosure: I paid to attend this conference and I was NOT told to blog about this event. I really enjoyed how the folks treated me and know my clients would learn a great deal.
Here are a few Business Pages that they keynote speaker used as an example throughout his presentation, you might want to “Like” their page and see what they are doing too:
Morgan Miller Plumbing – in Kansas City
Kay’s Designer Consignment – husband and wife business
Little Passports – kids enrichment
40M SMBS – have active Facebook page
2M SMB are using ads on Facebook
Lesson 1 – Tell your authentic story
Morgan Miller Plumbing:
Here’s an example of what they use to market their employees, create an album of your employees and write about them, such as: “This ray of sunshine is …married with 4 kids. When…isn’t perfecting his needlepoint…” (customers aren’t happy when calling a plumber or inviting a stranger into their home, they like it when they could know a bit more about who it is)
Lesson 2 – It’s easy to get started
Kay Designer Consignment:
– boost posts (like designer purses) to get people to see your updates. The Right People.
Lesson 3 – Reach the people that matter to you
Diva’s Snowgear:
-Targetting (snow gear to fashionable women, it’s a very targeted market)
Boba Guy’s:
– reach the people that matter to you
– Target people like 2 miles from your Brick & Mortar (B&M) store
– or recently have been to your store
-CTA button – “get directions” or use “call now” feature
Lessons 4 – Use Advanced Targeting (Little Passports)
-Use Facebook Ads to reach:
-Existing customers (through their likes or opt-in emails)
-Customer audiences = look a like (to create multiple audiences)
Lessons 5 – Measure your results
(Little Passports) ecommerce (buy stuff online)
Use an Ad – Conversion pixel
Ad renders good in all devices: Desktop, Mobile, Tablet (Facebook make sure of it)
