How Businesses in the Lehigh Valley Can Use AI and Social Media Without Losing Their Human Touch in 2026
Everyone is tired of hearing about AI these days, but it really helps marketers do their job more effectively. I want to share with you how it could help you too. People are either excited to start working with AI, but it can also lead to feeling overwhelmed. Based on continuing education through private groups in Discord and webinars, I will share a guide that helps me with my business using these tools.
If you prefer to go old school, I also share great resources below that have helped me think more thoroughly, including books and workbooks from my favorite 10-time best-selling author.
Can You Use AI Without Sounding Robotic? Yes, Here’s How
People are afraid AI will replace human interaction or customer service. You can still use AI and not sound robotic or fake. You see it out there where responses to requests on LinkedIn seem automated, or you feel like you are interacting with a bot.
AI in marketing is like using a calculator when you don’t want to do the math—it is a tool. You can still use AI to help you brainstorm, like I’m doing with this blog post, and still be human. I ask ChatGPT to ask me questions about this topic, and I answer them here.
Then I run it through again to clean up typos and grammar. I ask it for SEO optimization to help me promote myself locally with a catchy blog title, headlines, and a call to action for my final paragraph. I still have to answer the questions to write this blog post.
This process is what separates efficiency (just having AI write for you) versus authenticity (where I am writing it myself but having the messy draft cleaned up).
Common Mistakes People Make When Using AI for Marketing
How are people misusing AI right now?
Are they copying and pasting without editing?
Are they relying too much on tools without strategy?
People are using AI wrong. They think of it as a Google search. It should be a tool to help you brainstorm (like mentioned above), research, and optimize your marketing campaigns or social media posts. Many are copying and pasting without really editing or incorporating storytelling into their posts.
Why Storytelling Still Matters in an AI-Driven World
Here is a quote that makes me want to add more storytelling into my marketing:
Storytelling dramatically enhances audience attention and retention, making facts up to 22 times more memorable than data alone. Data retention jumps from 5–10% with statistics to about 67% when delivered through stories. Furthermore, 92% of consumers want brands to use storytelling, which can increase product value perception by 20 times. (Source: Medium)
Practical AI Prompts You Can Use for Competitor Research
New AI users are using the tools without strategy. I can get really deep into research when I’m using the right prompts. Here are a few examples:
If you are checking out your competitors, this is a prompt that I have shared with others that I heard from Brooke Sellas from B Square Media in a webinar:
“Upload competitors’ posts in text form, include engagement numbers, and ask what trends and patterns the AI sees that you can emulate.”
“Looking at competitor website ___, what should we be doing to emulate them but also do better?”
This could save you so much time from digging into your competitors’ websites and scanning through them yourself. This task alone can help you identify and strengthen what you want to be known for.
How to Use AI to Improve Your LinkedIn Profile and Visibility
This is a practical example I have used in all of my LinkedIn workshops. I tell my audiences to polish their summary or About section and clearly identify the problem they solve at the beginning.
Then I tell them to prompt their AI to create a LinkedIn headline that is persuasive to their three audiences and incorporates their summary. It helps reduce guesswork with what you put under your name to establish yourself on LinkedIn.
This example above is one way to start small without being overwhelmed by LinkedIn profile optimization. You can even ask AI to help you write your summary section if you struggle with tooting your own horn. It will help you a lot if you ask it to create a Q&A format.
Using AI to Stay Consistent Without Burning Out
You can use AI to support your consistency without burning out. Use it as a tool to support your thought process, such as brainstorming, researching, and creating accountability.
I use it to help me create ideas for clients’ social media posts based on their industry, which does the research for me if I don’t have expertise in their area. It helps me build rapport because they see that I’ve taken the time to understand what they do, and they appreciate it.
Why Showing Up Online Matters More Than Ever in the Lehigh Valley
In my previous blog post, I referenced the surge of new people coming into the area, myself included back in 2025. This is critical—market yourself now before your competitors do. In that article, I shared how I used Google reviews, social media posts, Reddit, and Facebook groups to identify and find service providers.
Showing up now is more important than ever in a growing population. Using AI to come up with post ideas can help you stay consistent with your campaigns. This can lead to brand recognition while people are scrolling and instant rapport with potential clients while they window shop on social media.
Those who miss out may lose potential sales from newcomers to the area. Being consistent will be your best competitive advantage. You can plan themes each month and tie in fun holidays such as Valentine’s Day, April Fool’s Day, and National Pie Day.
Building a Simple AI-Driven Marketing System for Your Business
It is great to have a system where you review your content calendar at the beginning or end of each month to identify opportunities to engage with your customers. Businesses will grow when they are consistent and intentional with using AI tools and prompts.
I provide training to staff members to help them come up with ideas, strategies, and—most importantly—consistency in their marketing. As a newcomer to the area but a 14-year business owner, I bring a unique skill set to help local businesses strengthen their marketing strategy.
Ready to Use AI With Strategy (Without Losing Your Voice)?
If you’ve been curious about AI but feel overwhelmed, you’re not alone. And if you’ve already started using it but aren’t sure if you’re doing it “right,” that’s exactly where I come in.
I don’t just teach tools. I help you think through how to use them in a way that actually fits your business, your voice, and your goals.
Whether it’s refining your LinkedIn presence, creating a simple content strategy, or showing your team how to use AI without sounding robotic, I walk you through it step by step so it feels doable and sustainable.
If you’re a business owner or part of a team here in the Lehigh Valley and you want to show up with more clarity and consistency, let’s talk.
Sometimes all it takes is one conversation to turn all of this from overwhelming… into something that finally clicks.
