Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee serves over 82,000 clients annually which includes clients that are 2 percent Latino, 3 percent Black, and 91 percent White.
JOHNSON CITY, TN – July 26, 2016 – Gonzalez has helped the Food Bank raise close to $200,000 in donations with her assistance in Social Media Consulting for fundraising events and campaigns. She has been an active member of the Communications Committee since 2011 shortly after arriving to the area from Florida. She pitched her background a “triple threat” to the Board of Directors: Hispanic, Millennial, and Mother as an asset to the organization.
She is part of a young group of Millennials currently serving on the Board. In addition, other new Board Members include Matt Storey from Eastman Chemical Company, Market Development Representative Global Growth & Strategy and Will Kelly, Retired Chief Administrative Officer of NN Inc.
Second Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Tennessee is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization that depends on the support of the community and grants. For every dollar donated to the food bank, fives meals are provided.
